Before purchasing this LCD TV/DVD combo I did quite a bit of research. During that time I found two 24" models from Toshiba. What I wanted to know was what the differences were between the two. I noticed that this model wasn't as common as the Toshiba 24SLV411U 24-Inch 1080p LED-LCD HDTV with Built-in DVD Player, Black which have had many reviews. After some in depth research I found out some of the differences between this model and the other more common one. Keep in mind this is a LCD TV/DVD combo with an LED backlight.
One of the features "missing" from this model is the yellow composite video jack on the back which personally I don't have a need for. The other difference is in the sound system. Overall the product is decent, but the channel return button doesn't work if "Any" menu bar is still up on the screen, like the volume bar, info bar, etc. It will sit frozen until the volume bar disappears before you can switch back to the previous channel. Also, when switching channels with the channel button, the channel you are on will stay for 3-5 seconds before changing to your chosen channel. When you turn on the tv, it is slow and the dvd player turns on and makes the whining/running sound while the tv turns on slowly, which I've never experienced with any of the other manufacturers before, so I'm not sure if this is a flaw or just the way this tv operates. Sound is pretty good, not Samsung of course, but way better than Walmart's Proscan brand or Insignia Brand through BestBuy. NO Channel ADD/Delete---A must for me, as I don't like the favorites lists. Bought this unit for a beach cabin and have had several comments on ease of use from guests and staff. The guests push all the remote control buttons on directv remote, then complain "the tv don't work". Have had no such problems with this tv yet. Picture is good and my only complaint would be the time to turn on is a bit longer than the old cathode tube tv this replaced, a few seconds till picture appears, no big deal. The tv is a very good value and will be purchasing a couple more very soon.

Our TV lasted about a year. It stopped turning on with any remote or with the front button. I checked some message boards online and found hundreds of complaints about this same issue. One solution was to unplug the TV and re-plug it in, then it would work. This worked for a few week, now we just have a dead TV that can not be powered on.
I called the company service line, got the Funai service deck. He told me they don't support this TV and sent me to a Mangavox number. The do not offer live support for TV's, have to use the website. I would not purchase anything with this brand name. Faulty equipment and no support. Stay away!

Very pleased with the TV overall. Image is really good and the unit is ightweight and manageable to handle. Having the built in DVD player is an added bonus. The TV stand doesn't turn though, so I bought a turn-table type device (from Amazon) and it's perfect now.

Good value for money. Plays CDs, DVDs smoothly. Picture quality (I use the component connection from my cable box) is fine.
Negatives? (1) Speaker quality is a bit thin. OK for TV shows, but when listening to music CDs I use supplemental speakers. (2) There is no direct input for using as a computer monitor, if you want to play for example YouTube clips. If your computer has an HDMI output, then you can use that to connect to the monitor's HDMI input, but otherwise you're out of luck.
